We had a beautiful, sunny weekend--FINALLY!! The league still cancelled Joey's soccer game on Saturday--Charlie and I were so disappointed! I guess the fields are still too wet. We love watching Joey play soccer and it feels like it's been forever since they've played. Friday were the school Fall Dances at Griffin. Ben went to the 6th grade dance with his friends. He came to the car with a RED face and out of breath! He said he danced the whole time! He is so funny. He also said he had a "possy" following him around (Ashley, Julia, Laura, Riley, Sam). I bet the teachers couldn't believe it when their straight A, perfect Ben was dancing like crazy to all the songs. Alex & Joey went to the 7th/8th grade dance that followed the 6th graders. They didn't dance like Ben did, but I think they did dance some. They were mostly watching the girls. Alex said that Joey stood by Taylor the whole time :0! After the dance, Christy picked up the boys and took them back to her house to hang out for a couple of hours. There were boys and girls there and they watched "Goonies" and ate snacks. No drama, just goofy middle school stuff going on.
Saturday night, Charlie & I went to a surprise 40th for Rob. It was a lot of fun. We had Vegas tables set up so we played Roulette and Craps most of the night. Charlie played Blackjack too. Rob was surprised. It was nice to see some people we hadn't seen in a while too.
Sunday, Joey went to Taylor's house to watch the Cowboy game. They go to our church, so I met her mother after church. I think Joey & Taylor really like each other, as much as possible at 12 years old. She better not hurt my baby. Ben played with Ashley & Matthew and they made up more riddles and made clay figures. They were trying to make a movie out of their clay figures like Nightmare Before Christmas, but it didn't work out. Alex played football with a bunch of his buddies most of the day. Charlie chilled and watched football all day.
It's Monday and guess what???? IT'S RAINING AGAIN!!!!! I hate rain.
