Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I finally got to do my first table-scape like so many I see on my favorite decorating blogs...mine is not quite as elaborate, but I loved it just the same! The boys, including Charlie, were surprised when they saw it this morning! I made the chocolate puffcorn treats for the kids too that I found on the tidymom blog that I love to read. Ben really loved it and so did Carmen! For breakfast, Charlie and I made the Barefoot Contessa's Challah French Toast and it was delicious! I also made sauteed bananas in brown sugar and butter which was pretty tasty too. Carmen, Ben and I spent the afternoon shopping while Charlie, Alex & Joey watched some new movies they bought (Zombieland, District 9). For dinner I made chicken fried steak--a very southern meal with gravy and mashed potatoes. Alex and I made chocolate covered strawberries for dessert. We really celebrated Valentine's Day all weekend by going to see "Valentine's Day" the movie yesterday while the kids saw "Lightning Thief". We shopped at the mall and Charlie and I bought stuff for ourselves instead of giving each other Valentine's gifts.

No soccer games this weekend because of the record snowfall this week. The mall was packed! The kids are out of school again tomorrow for President's Day and we will be getting ready for the twin's big 13th birthday on Thursday--unbelievable. My family will all be here on Friday to celebrate Joey & Alex's birthday and they have a big paintball party scheduled for Sunday with their friends.

Now I'm going to relax with a glass of wine and enjoy the Olympics. Go USA!!
