The Gators beat Scoggins 47-6 last night at Wakeland. Zach from the Wildcats played for Scoggins. Alex played alot of kickoffs since we kept scoring so many touchdowns. He also played alot of defensive end getting a tackle. He had a really big guy on him and just couldn't get off of him. Ryan had a good game scoring with 2 td receptions. Little Brady also had a good game with a couple of interceptions and td's. We enjoy sitting with all of our Wildcat friends and watching the game. I saw the boys at lunch yesterday and they all sit together, plus other football players. They moved 3 times to different tables until all of them were together. 16 of them scrunched together. It was so funny! The boys that didn't fit were at a table next to them all sitting at the end closest to Alex's table. They have to be together. I hope it stays that way.

Sunny weekend but more rain....
We had a beautiful, sunny weekend--FINALLY!! The league still cancelled Joey's soccer game on Saturday--Charlie and I were so disappointed! I guess the fields are still too wet. We love watching Joey play soccer and it feels like it's been forever since they've played. Friday were the school Fall Dances at Griffin. Ben went to the 6th grade dance with his friends. He came to the car with a RED face and out of breath! He said he danced the whole time! He is so funny. He also said he had a "possy" following him around (Ashley, Julia, Laura, Riley, Sam). I bet the teachers couldn't believe it when their straight A, perfect Ben was dancing like crazy to all the songs. Alex & Joey went to the 7th/8th grade dance that followed the 6th graders. They didn't dance like Ben did, but I think they did dance some. They were mostly watching the girls. Alex said that Joey stood by Taylor the whole time :0! After the dance, Christy picked up the boys and took them back to her house to hang out for a couple of hours. There were boys and girls there and they watched "Goonies" and ate snacks. No drama, just goofy middle school stuff going on.
Saturday night, Charlie & I went to a surprise 40th for Rob. It was a lot of fun. We had Vegas tables set up so we played Roulette and Craps most of the night. Charlie played Blackjack too. Rob was surprised. It was nice to see some people we hadn't seen in a while too.
Sunday, Joey went to Taylor's house to watch the Cowboy game. They go to our church, so I met her mother after church. I think Joey & Taylor really like each other, as much as possible at 12 years old. She better not hurt my baby. Ben played with Ashley & Matthew and they made up more riddles and made clay figures. They were trying to make a movie out of their clay figures like Nightmare Before Christmas, but it didn't work out. Alex played football with a bunch of his buddies most of the day. Charlie chilled and watched football all day.
It's Monday and guess what???? IT'S RAINING AGAIN!!!!! I hate rain.

Flour Baby Week

Alex had a baby! It's "Smash Alexander Zerbo" with Stewie's face. He has to take care of this "flour baby" the whole week for his Skills for Living class. It is a 5 pound bag of flour covered in duct tape. (they donate all the flour when they are finished with the project.) We borrowed one of Ben's kee-kee's to use as his blanket. Alex has to keep his "baby" with him at all times during school and has to take care of it. He can't throw it in his locker or leave it on the floor, etc. They can get classmates to babysit for them. During football, the coaches have a special place for all the babies. I guess a "football day care" ha ha. When I'm at the school today making copies, I'm going to see where baby Smash is. I think if you are a twin, you should have twin flour babies to take care of, right??!!
A Ben Drawing
Jacob wins Carnival King!!

Jacob and his girlfriend, Maci, won the Agra Carnival King and Queen on 10/13/09 at the Halloween Carnival. This is a big event in Agra. The high school classes sell tickets and the class that sells the most, wins! The sophomore class beat out the senior class. Jacob had to kiss his little girlfriend in front of a gymnasium full of people. I saw the video and he did well. Ben saw the video and said "that's it???"! Jacob just turned 16 on October 8th and got his drivers license last week. He's a great kid who loves to play basketball!! Moma was carnival queen back in her day--1961 crowned by Donnie Hale.
Gators lose to Pioneer 16-12
Gators lost to the "one man show" from the Trojans of the FFL. Just like he did on the Trojans, #20 Andre Horton did everything for them. So glad our team has many players who play well and they don't have to rely on one guy to do it all. Grant & Rodney from the Wildcats played for Pioneer and several of the Longhorn players too. Grant had a good game and I saw Alex patting him on the back. They both played outside linebackers for the Wildcats and I know Alex misses him. It was a great game--very exciting, even Ben said it was exciting! :-). Alex played well-- holding the Panthers at the Gator 20 yard line in the 4th quarter. A bad snap gave the Panthers the ball on the Gator 5 yard line and they scored the go-ahead TD. Alex didn't seem to mind losing--just worried about what cheerleaders will text him next. He's having fun playing football with all of his buddies. Record is 4-1 with 3 more games to go. I went to the pep rally yesterday before we passed out the football sandwiches. The band sounded great and the cheerleader were good. All of the volleyball players were there too along with the football players.
It's raining again today...so sick of the rain!!! I'm sure Joey's soccer game will be cancelled tonight. We can't wait to watch him play again. It feels like it's been forever since we've had a soccer game. Charlie said he had a great practice last night.
